Outreach Programs:
Auditorium style Programs
Space Bubble: Our most popular OUTREACH Program uses a 23 foot inflatable dome to teach Astronomy and Biology through one of four programs: Solar System(grades 6-12), Starry Nights(grades 3-12), Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star (Pre-K- 2nd grade), and The Cell (grades 6-12).
(30-45 Minutes/ 35 students max)
Restless Natives: This exciting and engaging program introduces students to the native animals of the South Plains, including snakes, lizards, insects, and mammals.
Fire and Ice: This program allows us to answer the alluding question: “Which is stronger? Fire or Ice?” Students will explore the properties and states of matter and witness the power of both fire and ice.
Rainforest: This program offers students the opportunity to visit the rainforest. Students learn about animals native to the rainforest and about products and resources the rainforest provides.
Crazy Chemistry: This program presents the ideas of physical and chemical changes, and students will be able to observe examples of the changes in an controlled environment.
SuperCold: Ever wonder how cold is too cold? This program is a detailed look at the properties of Liquid Nitrogen. Through demonstrations students will gain an understanding of how cold, cold can be.
Combustion: This program illustrates the basic principles of Combustion. Students will learn what components are needed for the fire triangle and basic fire safety principles.
Reptiles: This program allows students to have an “up close and personal” look at some of the Science Spectrum’s resident reptiles as they learn about their habitats, eating habits, and self defense.

3,2,1 Liftoff!!:(90 min program/ 25 students max)
“Have a BLAST!” as you learn about aerodynamics, the laws of gravity, and energy in this “out of sight” experience! Each student will build decorate, and launch their own model rocket! (Grades 4-12)
Inside Out: (60 min program/ 25 students max) Dissection without all the fuss! Let us bring the biology lesson to you!

CSI: DNA Extraction:(60 min program/25 students max)
Students learn to investigate just like real CSI investigators. By using strands of DNA to identify suspects. In this class students will extract and isolate the DNA strands.. This program will definitely keep your students guessing and focused.
