BubbleFest

Friday, Oct. 8th – (Member’s Night) - 6:00 to 8:00pm
Saturday, Oct. 9th -  10:00am to 4:00pm
Have fun playing together as a family at this one-of-a-kind event where science, art and imagination all collide!  Learn the real science of “playing” with bubbles.

The highlight of this year’s festival will be performances by BubbleMania, featuring bubble-ologist Casey Carle.  Casey’s bubble show combines science, art and comedy for a spectacular show like you’ve never seen before!

Find out how bubbles form, why they're spherical, how to make a cube bubble and the science of bubble bursting!  Be prepared to be amazed and entertained as you see amazing soap bubble manipulations - from intricate and detailed Bubble Art (bubble chains, spaceships, fog filled bubbles, crystal balls and square bubbles) to placing a child inside a giant bubble!  Casey’s enthusiasm is infectious, and his experience is amazing!

Bubble Mania Shows during BubbleFest will be held:
Member’s Night – Friday, Oct. 8th  at 7:00pm
Saturday, Oct. 9th at 11:30am, 1:00 & 3:00pm

All BubbleFest activities are included with standard Museum admission.  Member’s get an extra special sneak peak at all the fun on Friday night!

Silly Science Carnival – Thursday, Oct. 28th – 10:00am to 12:00 noon

 An exciting Fall fun event just for pre-schoolers!  This Fall themed mini-carnival will take place in KidSpace, and is perfect for those younger ones that might not want to get out and compete with the older kids at other Halloween events.
Here are just some of the fun activities planned:

• Carnival Games and Prizes
• A Fall Themed Maze
• A Mini-Bounce House
• Silly Crafts
• Silly Science Demos
• A Costume Parade
• Snacks and Sweat Treats

All Silly Science Carnival activities will be located in KidSpace in the museum and are included with standard museum admission.
  Get $1.00 off standard Museum Admission with 2 cans of food per person donated to the South Plains Food Bank!  Members get in FREE with two cans of food per person.

 

 

 

Spooky Science Carnival – Friday, Oct. 29th – 5:00 to 9:00pm

One of the Science Spectrum’s most popular annual events!  Enjoy carnival games and prizes, trick-or-treats, the Haunted Science Lab, a live Spooky Scientist Show, children and family costume contests, an amazing Magic Show, as well as a host of other traditional Halloween “spooky not scary” fun activities!  Admission is included with a regular Museum ticket. Get $1.00 off standard Museum Admission with 2 cans of food per person donated to the South Plains Food Bank!  Members get in FREE with two cans of food per person.
