The Hungry, Hungry Scientist
June 4th-6th
Let's cook up some science this summer! Students will get hands-on making messes with kitchen science and food based experiments. You will also learn about where our food comes from, how food cooks, and the amazing things our bodies do to use food for fuel.
ZOO-ology
June 11th-13th
ZOO-ology is the only class this summer where you're encouraged to "monkey around!" Learn all about animals and their care in this class where you'll get to see fun critters up close and personal. Meet people who work with animals and see if you've got what it takes to be a zoologist!
Heroes & Villains
June 18th-20th
Save the world with SCIENCE! In this super class, students will learn about common super powers and how with science we can find them in the real world. We'll also look at the other side and learn about some of the greatest villain inventions and even create some of our own. Don't forget that Thursday of camp is Costume Day! Dress as your favorite superhero or villain, or invent your own!
Prehistoric LEGO®'s
July 9th-11th
Get back to the basics of building! Learn about the structures built by humans in ancient times and use LEGO®'s to recreate their amazing advances in engineering. Once you've mastered these techniques, we'll travel back in time to the land of dinosaurs and use your new skills to survive in this prehistoric world!
Oceans Adventures
July 16th-18th
Take a nautical adventure around the world as we explore the oceans of Earth. Water covers almost three-quarters of the earth's surface and may contain up to half of the species of animals on the planet. Learn more about what unique creatures call the oceans home, how plants and animals survive under the sea, and how we as humans can explore Earth's waters. Journey with us as you discover what magic awaits you in Oceans Adventures.
Junior Astronaut Academy
July 23rd-25th
Ever wondered what it would be like to be an astronaut? Here's your chance to learn! In this all new classroom experience, students will be able to use NASA™ created curriculum to see what astronauts must study and learn in order to "lift off" from Earth! They will even have the opportunity to chat via ITV with real NASA™ scientists on the final day of camp!
Fizzy, Foamy Science
July 30th-August 1st
Mom won't let you try all your messy experiment ideas at home? Do them here with us! In Fizzy, Foamy Science you will have the opportunity to make messes and explore chemistry in a very hands-on, exciting way.
Bodies, Bones, & Brains
August 6th-8th
Our bodies are amazing! Learn more about what makes humans just so special. Study bones in the body, learn more about how parts of our body work together to allow us to move, and even see REAL brains!

Where on Earth is THAT?!
June 4th-6th
Journey around the world with us as we discover the amazing biomes found across the seven continents. From the frozen tundra of Antarctica to the scorching deserts of Africa, you'll learn all about the plants, animals, and people who call these climates home. Finally, you'll take your new knowledge to build a giant "biodome" inside your classroom!
Science You Can Eat
June 11th-13th
Get messy in the kitchen this summer discovering the science of cooking! Learn all about the food you eat, from the garden to the plate. Join us for a field trip to the South Plains Food Bank's GRUB Farm to discover how our food is grown and then create a healthy menu as you spend your final days getting hands-on in the kitchen cooking and doing food based experiments.
Robonauts
June 18th-20th
Robots in space? Of course! Learn all about Robonaut 2 and its work on the International Space Station. Then, work with a team to help design what you think R3 would look like! Finally, build your own robot that could help astronauts while they work in space.
Astronauts in Space
July 9th-11th
Experience a camp that is "out of this world!" In partnership with NASA™'s Space Flight Explorers Program, discover all the fun of a space camp right here in Lubbock. Learn all about how astronauts train for and work in space. You'll even have the opportunity to chat via ITV with a real NASA™ scientist!
LEGO® Hero
July 16th-18th
Save the world with LEGO®'s! Recreate some of the hide-outs, vehicles, and inventions of your favorite superheroes and villains from comic books, TV, and movies.
Safety Goggles Required
July 23rd-25th
Get in on the camp that's "exploding" with fun! Try out experiments you'd never do at home in the safety of our lab. Learn all about combustion, chemical reactions, crashes without making Mom worry!
Shark Camp
July 30th-August 1st
With a name like Shark Camp, why do you need a description? Join us as we learn all about these powerful creatures from under the sea. We'll even do an actual shark dissection and see the new OMNI film Great White Sharks!
CSI, My Dear Watson!
August 6th-8th
CSI is back at the museum this summer in this exciting new camp exploring the life of a detective. Spend two days learning important investigative skills and put them to use on the final day as you get to act as the detective unit on the case. Interview live suspects, comb over the crime scene for clues, and solve the case!

Science Spectrum's popular video game design class is back! Learn how to design and program your own games using free software that you can take home and continue creating after camp. Camp lessons will cover point & click games (Fruit Ninja™), maze games (Pac-Man™), and platform gaming (Super Mario™).

What do robots and rockets have in common? More than you think! Learn about how NASA™ uses robots in rocket launches and in space. Hands-on activities include building robots and learning basic programming along with building and launching actual model rockets!
